Lyon-based artist Pia Vidal works in the fields of mapping and vjing.

Pia Vidal is a digital visual artist. In her work, she explores the complementarity between narrative illustrative art and real-time digital creation. Through the interaction of these two media, and thanks to a variety of visual imbrications and temporal and spatial parameters, she pushes back the boundaries of graphic possibilities. These two opposing aesthetics merge to create a new narrative scenario.

The artist questions the place of the individual as body and mind in relation to society and an infinite immaterial environment. Pia Vidal explores the sensual and organic aspects of the body, particularly the feminine. The exploration of physical volumes, all curves and lines, is transformed into moving, evocative sculpture in her installations and projections. Her creations also touch on the realm of dreams and the di- vine, questioning a broader human psychic dimension, through surrealistic compositions and symbolic forms.
