Boum de Lumières : light party for kids

Boum de Lumières : light party for kids

Throwback of “Boum de Lumières”, an event for kids and families produced by Scenitz as part of the Lyon Festival of Lights 2024.

During four nights, kids and their families immersed themselves in an atmosphere of joy and light: participatory dance show, interactive video mapping, tombolight, faceted karaoke, mask workshop, glitter make-up, luminous fresco… A symphony of the senses, where lights brought out emotions, dance warmed bodies and drawing brought dreams to life.

Outside – New collaboration

Outside: new work in distribution

OUTSIDE: NEW WORK IN DISTRIBUTION

We’re delighted to announce our new collaboration with transciplinary artist Nawelle Aïnèche and her surprising project Outside, which joins the works we are touring after a premiere in Lyon Auditorium for Lyon Festival of Lights.

Artist Nawelle Aïnèche first trained in stage costume. Her work, dominated by weaving, focuses on the body, its traumas and mechanisms. During residencies, notably at Ateliers Médicis, she pursues her research into movement, matter and sculpture. She has developed a number of transdisciplinary projects based on the weaving of video cassette tapes, combining installation and performance. Her work has been exhibited in France and abroad.
Outside is an immersive, hybrid and protean project, bringing together the mediums of performance and installation through video mapping by Pia Vidal and sculpture activation by two dancers. Whether in movement or contemplation, this magnetic project takes us into an inner, visceral world where time is suspended. The project deals with traumatic amnesia through the materiality of magnetic videotape. The question of memory is central.
☞ Outside audiovisual installation was Lyon Auditorium in December 2024 on the occasion of the Lyon Festival of Lights
☞ Outside dance performance is going to be premiered in Lyon in May 2025

Outside – Lyon Festival of Lights

Outside – Lyon Festival of Lights

We’re delighted to announce our new collaboration with visual artist Nawelle Aïnèche and her powerful Outside project, which joins the works we’ve been distributing.

Outside is a monumental installation woven from video cassette tapes, like a cumulus cloud whose destination is unknown. On this shimmering installation, artist Pia Vidal projects a metaphorical and poetic mapping of the reminiscence of memories. The reflective work questions the power of the dark, hidden memories, and consequently, the light that generates them.

➤ December 5 to 8, 7pm – 11pm + concert evenings throughout December
➤ Lyon Auditorium

Outside is also a dance performance, featuring two woven sculptures inspired by moires, ancient divinities that can foretell the future. The dance movements are paradoxical, constrained by the material and the sculptural costume. How can we find a space of freedom despite the physical and psychic constraints?

To be premiered at SUBS in Lyon on the weekend of May 2 – 3 – 4, 2025

Lotus – Pléiades festival

Lotus : Pléiades festival

After a two weeks at Vincennes castle, Lotus joined the program of the Pléiades festival in Saint-Etienne, an event at the crossroads of art, science and technology. Visual and sound experiences, monumental or intimate, the artistic program presented invited the public to immerse themselves in a sensitive, poetic and symbolic universe.

Lotus is a floral landscape that unfolds in space, inviting spectators to wander freely. Light from the plant’s structure is diffused by its large leaves, creating a relaxing, evolving atmosphere. The Lotus flower, a positive symbol of renewal and spirituality, invites the viewer to engage in an individual or collective meditative experience. The dimensions of the work invert the relationship of scale: here, man is the size of an insect immersed in immense nature.
